Schedule of Events:
Blue Ridge Boxster Summit 2008 will
officially commence on the evening of
Thursday, May 29th with the meet-and-greet at Blowing
Rock, North Carolina's Meadowbrook Inn, followed by the kickoff of
our themed dinners. A full schedule of Boxster-related
social and driving activities will follow on Friday and
Saturday. Sunday's breakfast will conclude the event,
with fond farewells. With this year being the
10th Anniversary of the BRBS, an optional extra day
of activities will begin on May 28th for
those that wish to get an early start.

Wednesday - May 28th

11:30am - 2:00pm Gather at
Bistro Roca in Blowing
Rock, relax in the Antlers Bar, and enjoy lunch with other
early participants. Cost not included in registration.
2:30pm - 10:00pm Gather at
Meadowbrook Inn parking lot
– the group leaves promptly at 2:30pm to travel to
Chimney Rock Park. After
visiting the Park, head over to
Rumbling Bald Resort at
Lake Lure and enjoy dinner
on the
Terrace at the Lakeview Restaurant.
Following dinner, mosey back to Blowing Rock.
10:00pm - ?? Break in the Boxster Bar at
Meadowbrook Inn before the rest of the folks arrive!

7:00am - 9:00am Breakfast at the Inn —
Meadowbrook Inn will offer a complimentary continental
breakfast to BRBS participants registered at the Inn; $5.00
for those staying off-site.
9:00am - 3:00pm Tour the North Carolina Wine
Country – Meet at the Meadowbrook Inn parking lot for a
group run to three area wineries and a picnic lunch at
Stone Mountain State Park.

Thursday ( Main Event )
- May 29th |
5:00pm - 6:00pm Registration at Meadowbrook
Inn. Event registration and t-shirt pick-up will take place
in the Highland Room, ground floor at Meadowbrook Inn.
Following registration head next door to the “Boxster Bar”
and catch a “Boxster Special” before dinner!
7:00pm - 7:30pm “Boxster Beers” in the Boxster
Bar at Meadowbrook Inn
7:30pm - 10:00pm Opening
Dinner (included in
registration) in the recently renovated Boxster Ballroom at
Meadowbrook Inn, followed by Fun Run orientation
10:00pm - ?? Retire to the “Boxster Bar” and
join your new and old friends for fun and fellowship, drinks
and darts!

7:00am - 9:00am Breakfast at the Inn —

8:45am - 9:30am “Boxster Shine and Show!” –
Gather in the upper parking lot at Meadowbrook Inn. For
those not showing your Boxsters, please park away from the
upper parking lot the night before to expedite the line-up.
Use the 'Show and Shine Spec Sheet' links on the
Roster
to create and print your spec sheet for your windshield.
9:45am – 3:30pm Fun Run – Meet your group
leader at the Meadowbrook Inn parking lot and away you go!
New roads, new places to see. You won’t want to miss a
look 'inside' the Blue Ridge Mountains and Famous Louise’s
Forest Berry Pie!
3:30pm - 6:00pm Free Time to cruise, visit the
shops in and around the Fun Run locations, and mosey back to
Blowing Rock
7:30pm - 9:30pm
Dinner – “A Tribute to
Chuck ‘Porsche Pete’ Hammersmith (included in registration)
– In the Boxster Ballroom at Meadowbrook Inn, a time to
remember the man responsible for bringing all of us together
9:45pm “A Late Night Drive to Nowhere” - The
night and the roads are yours!
10:30pm Back to the “Boxster Bar” . . . more
fun, fellowship and darts at Meadowbrook Inn!!

Saturday - May 31st |
5:45am -9:00am - Optional - Boxster
Photo Shoot at Grandfather Mountain — For those hearty folks
willing to get up early, meet Ron Kucynski in the lobby of
Meadowbrook Inn and travel to Grandfather Mountain for early
morning photo opportunities. Depending on the weather report
at the time, we may decide to hold this event Friday or
Sunday morning at the same time.
7:00am - 9:00am Breakfast at the Inn —
Meadowbrook Inn,
8:00am - 6:00pm “Morning and Afternoon Drives
to ??” The day is yours to explore the Blue Ridge Parkway,
discover The Blowing Rock, shop, relax, and just have a fun
time! Also take in the special events, sessions and
forums below.

Grandfather Mountain - The highest mountain in
the Blue Ridge
Mountain Range at 5,964 feet is a scenic travel
attraction and world class
nature preserve. Cost is $14/adult ($12/60+ yrs.).
Grandfather
Mountain is located on US Highway 221, two miles north
of Linville, North
Carolina, and one mile south of the Blue Ridge Parkway
(milepost 305).
The Blowing Rock - View the Blue Ridge Mountains
from this spectacular
vantage point. Opens at 8:00 a.m. $6/adults. Just south
of the town.
Opens at 8:30am.
10:00am - 5:30pm “Pedro’s
Garage is Open for Business!” – Join Shop Manager
Pedro Bonilla and his assistants as the
Mod Shop opens for doing
your own Boxster mods. Watch others work on their cars or
help others with a mod. If you have your own mods you've
been waiting to install, bring them!
10:00am - 3:00pm “A Day at the
Westglow Resort & Spa” –
Optional day for women at this renowned resort and spa; see
registration form for options and pricing.

1:00pm - 3:00pm Afternoon Tech Sessions

6:30pm - 7:30pm Cocktail Reception. Gather in the
Four Seasons and patio at Meadowbrook Inn for a cocktail
reception hosted by Karl and Ron — complimentary draft beer
and wine, cash liquor bar.
7:30pm - 9:45pm “BRBS 2008 Farewell
Dinner”
at the Meadowbrook Inn. Enjoy the final night banquet in the
dining room. Fun, fellowship, photos, door prizes, and lots
of conversation!
10:00pm - 2:00am “Final Stand at the Boxster
Bar” . . . more fun, fellowship, drinks and darts.
2:00am - 3:00am For those of you that remember
last year, same meeting, same place, same time.. Otherwise,
stick around the Boxster Bar and find out .. . Kevin, don't
